« Last post by Allin21 on September 12, 2023, 09:11:15 am »Haven't seen BA or Union live besides the scrimmages. BJ Jones basically singlehandedly beat Owasso, although that game was only 12-7. Jenks had owasso down 7-0 most of the game until the last minute and Owasso scored and went for 2 to win 8-7.
So I guess I'm saying it's looking like a pretty good parity around the league with no clear cut top dawg, unless BA is just a buzz saw.

Guess it's a good thing the membership hasn't exploded in here yet, or me and Miyagi would be eating some crow over that lackluster performance from the Rams last night. One thing I will say is, If Jachari Thomas(Sorry if it's misspelled) doesn't get the ball 30 times a game its criminal. That dude needs the rock and he needs it alot. Hopefully someone somewhere reads this and puts it into action!

It's been a long off season after the embarrassing loss in the Final. I think Owasso has the roster and obviously the coaching to get it done. Owasso by two TD's. Come at me Bro!

BA played alot of their ones in the Monday scrimmage... seems bush league but whatever... I graduated from BA so don't @ me if that gets you in your feelings
Bixby has a ton of kids... Like alot of kids. Speaks to the success of that program for the smallest of the 5 east side 6A schools to have the most numbers by a long shot.
Mondays reps were good for each team. They all seemed to progress as the night went on
Tuesday. Ranking the teams in order of who passed the eye test from top to bottom in my humble opinion
Jenks- Maybe it was home field energy, but they looked good running, throwing and getting after it on defense. Looked pretty thin after the starters but overall were the most complete team IMO!
Bixby- Impressive running and throwing. Ton of talented skill players. Line is a lunchpail squad
BA- Biggest team size and biggest line of the teams by far. Had a few nice passing TD,s and were tough on D as well
Union- Justice can run the rock. He can also catch the ball. These are known facts. Lacked discipline on D and gave up quite a few scores
Owasso- Injuries have been rampant early. Lost two really great lineman for the year before the scrimmages even started. Could use a little luck and a few things to go in the right direction. Only team not to punch one in the EZ, and gave up plenty of TD's. Will need to sharpen the sword before next week!
No disrespect meant,just my honest observations. Looking forward to cheering on the rams in this 8th grade season!
